Canon EOS 5D Mark III 22.3MP Full Frame Digital SLR Camera (Body Only) $2500

Grey market in this case is USA stock sold by unauthorized dealer to go around the Canon minimum advertised price (MAP). So the USA warranty card is still included. It is not the same as Japanese stock sold in the US. Obviously Canon can use the serial numbers to see who the original dealer the camera was delivered to. Whether the repair center does anything with it or not is the question.

I had my 5D Mark II and 24-105L lens sent in for out of warranty repair. They will fix any Canon gear as long as you pay for the repair. So if you bought this, Canon will still repair it for you if needed. It is just a matter of how much you would need to pay to get it repaired. For me, I dropped my 5D Mark II on marble floor with the lens on it. The prism housing cracked. The repair was $450. The lens was fine but I sent it in for clean up and check up. That cost $250.

Got my 5diii from an authorized dealer for 2888 total a couple days ago. No regrets. Now had this sale been from an authorized dealer, it would have impressed me.

I have heard of cases where folks are able to get away by saying the camera was a gift and they don't have the receipt. In these cases, canon will use the serial number of the camera and the one year warranty will be considered from the date of manufacturing. Since this comes with a US warranty card, and the serial number is for north america, I'm hoping it shouldn't be a problem.

I ordered mine at 12.20am PST and when I ordered, ~70 were sold and yet I have not received any shipping confirmation..

I ordered around 7:30am EST on Friday morning and mine shipped on Monday morning. It arrived on Tuesday (I'm located in NYC). It arrived in a box for the 5D Mark III Kit w/ the 24-105 f/4 lens (but without the lens obviously) and it included a Canon US warranty card. Let me know if anyone has any other questions.
