I agree - I bought a 101 off of cowboom and then bought a 300 before the return period was up. Comparing them side by side:

1 - speakers are louder on the 300 vs the 101 but speakers are on one side of the tablet and rely on hands or something to reflect sound back.
2 - I think the 101 has a better display when side by side, though the glass is more noticeable than the 300 (lcd is set in further)
3 - the 300 is thinner - that is a plus but build quality on the 101 feels better.
4 -- tegra 2 vs. 3 - the few games I like, tegra 2 is fine. if you are a heavy gamer, something to consider though.\
5- gorilla glass on the 101 vs none on the 300. Big deal for me as I have been very satisfied with the durability of my apple products with gg.

To each their own but when a 101 is 1/2 the cost of a new 300, its hard not to consider the 101... I lucked out I guess and got one that was built this year and I got the warranty card with it.

Wow I'm sorry about that. I knew the Prime had issues w/ wifi and GPS due to the metal body but I read those issues were resolved on this model that uses a plastic case. The primes were so bad with GPS that they actually took it off the official spec list. But again thought it was all resolved in this model.

That's what I'm thinking. The TF201 was notorious for this due to the metal backplate interfering with radio signals. The TF700s fixed that by putting a strip of plastic across the op of the back by the antennae. The TF300s were supposed to either have full plastic backs or the same plastic strip that the TF700 has.

I bought a TF201 in January and ended up swapping it our for the TF700 when it was released. The radio issues from the TF201 are long gone.

Now compare the TF101 to the TF700 and tell me that the TF101 was still the best of the bunch.

Uhh....are you confusing the Nexus 10 with the Galaxy 2 10.1?

The Nexus 10 16GB is NOT $30 more. It's $399.99 right now, and sold out everywhere with a 3-4 week shipping delay. That means it's $130 more, and of course the massive delay.

All these tab prices will crash in 2 months tops when tegra 4 is announced/released by nvidia
