Thanks everyone for the comments. I cancelled the mg6220 and got this, primarily for the fax and auto document feeder scanning capability. The mx892 is just a tad less sexy of a printer from a picture / scanner quality standpoint, but for any high quality photo prints, we usually send to a professional printer. The inclusion of the fax on top of everything else is just ridiculous value for this thing. Great find op.

Got one. Thanks
Checked Amazon reviews. Looks good. Have a Canon MG 5320 which I love, but for the cost of the ink replacement, I get an updated printer.UOTE=MOkoFOko;55163392]This is by far the lowest this printer has ever been--it's the replacement to the amazing MX882, which was superb and used some of the cheapest generic inks known to man. The MX892 is superior to the 882 and uses the same ink. The ink alone is worth $60, and the bare printer (minus ink/printhead) will sell for the same. This printer hardly ever drops under $130--Canon currently has it on promotional rebate until the 26th (per BHphoto, which has it for $78). Amazon has apparently price-matched the FRY'S doorbuster deal. I waited over a year for the refurbished 870's (on Canon's site) to come back in stock at under $80--DO NOT MISS THIS! LIMIT 1 PER ACCOUNT!! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...os_product Per camelx3, the lowest price the 892 (prior to this morning) was $110.[/QUOTE] |
