Thanks OP. I bought a couple of the 50lm units on BF for 99, going to try the 2460, the additional features are worth it and with 1 year warranty no concerns.

I did not get the warranty. It comes with a free one year from Garmin apparently. I am hoping that is sufficient. Wondering if its possible to add the warranty after the fact. I think Squaretrade charges more after the fact.

I bought this after the price jumped to $110...now it is back down to $100!

I passed on the warranty. Now I am wondering if I should buy it from Squaretrade with 40%off. Same price, but for 3 years instead of 2. However, apparently they do not cover ebay sales on this 40% off promo. Which means I guess it is up to $15 for 3 yrs. Makes me think that is not a way to go.
