I think it was suppose to be for 3 month Gold but they never changed it
Huh? The company made an ad mistake? It'd make sense since ton of retailers has the 3 month live for $10 - $15. Just noting I did double check the Target ad and it clearly states 1600 microsoft points for $10. Just picked up 9 at my local Target. There was about 3 left on the peg that I was thinking of taking too but 2 employees were next to me and said "OMG are these the only ones we have left?"... then he took them (for himself) and walked away. I was going to say something but I had enough. There ware 3 variants of the card art. Older one, the newer bright green one (shown in the ad), and an MW3 one. Went to a holiday cashier up front. All rang up $10 except the MW3 themed ones which rang up $19.99. I stated that all microsoft points are half off. She just did an override on each one w/o question or argument. YMMV for that. Surprised that still had them as I went by at 9pm and the line was about 3 blocks long. Just waited 7 hours later

Really, really good deal. They hardly ever go on sale. I just bought 20 for myself - remember that if they are sold out in the electronics section, there are likely a metric ton up front. I had a problem where some of the green label cards scanned as $20 and I only noticed after the transaction was over. When you are buying a stack, it can be a pain to find the corresponding number on the receipt and card (the card number is 10 digits and located on the bottom right).
After I got my refund for 3 cards I went to the front of the store to buy a bunch more. Probably half of them scanned incorrectly but this time I was prepared, I just had the clerk remove them (some clerks may not know how to do this - a manager had to help).
The Target I went to is a double decker - they probably have 200-300 left. Great deal, thanks for the heads up.
i bought 10! I forgot that they werent taxed since there pretrt much giftcards. So it came out to $100 flat. They had tons of the newer looking ones, i bought the last 10 of the ones that matched the ad just to not start any drama. Def worth it, though ive heard microsft is doing away with points and going to a strictly cash based system.. can anyone confirm?
Reps and TUs are always appreciated with a good deal!
Austin, TX... 30 bought for $300! Any suggestions for maximizing resell on these? Craigslist or eBay? Does eBay using Paypal take a percentage out? I know I am a bad man but I am also an opportunist =)
