I have a funny story about that HDMI Switch.

They had the exact same one FAR as part of their annual Fry's Anniversary Sale. It had a $23 Mail-In Rebate on it.

Well, the address they gave on the rebate form was an fake address. I sent it to it and the envelope came back as undeliverable. I called Frys and they contacted the company... and apparently the address was for where their "old operations headquarters was."

They gave me a new address to send it to and I re-sent out my documentation. 4 Months later... I still didn't receive my rebate. I contacted Bytecc at the number listed on their website (since no phone or e-mail is given on the form).

The guy on the phone spoke with a heavy Chinese/Asian dialect and I could barely understand him. He asked me for my name, address, and phone number and told me he would check on the status of the rebate and e-mail me by the end of the day.

No e-mail arrived.... so I called back the next day. The same guy answered and told me that he sent out the check yesterday and I should receive it within 7 to 10 days. I thought... "yeah right". I told him that if I didn't receive my rebate I would be contacting Fry's and they would dock their vendor account.

He assured me I would receive the check. Well... sure enough, I received the check in a hand-written envelope 5 days later. Even the check was hand-written, so I think Bytecc is clearly a one-man operation.

A few of the rebate forms request the original sales receipt, rather than a copy. How do I do that when I only have one original receipt? Will they decline it if it's a copy?

Anyway, anybody got any info on the rebate for this:
Merax 20Pk CD Jewel Case?

I emailed meritline a week ago about the jewel case rebate and still no reply... I emailed bytecc about the HDMI switch's rebate and they said they've only gotten 30% of November's rebates done so they asked me to please be patient. All my other rebates are either approved or in final processing.

Thanks! I don't mind not receiving it for a few weeks or even months. I just would like to know the status of it at least. Like bytecc said they were only 30% done. That's fine, but at least they gave me a status update.
