Acer Aspire V5-571P-6642 $549 15.6" Multi-Touch, Windows 8 Intel Core i5- 1.7GHz, 6GB DDR3, 500GB HDD

I have been looking for a cheap 15" touch screen windows 8 laptop. Didn't see this posted so hope this helps someone else. Lowest price I am seeing elsewhere is $729.

I agree the battery life is a disappointment, but for a new touch screen Windows 8 laptop with a low voltage i5, it's difficult to ask for a dedicated video card at this price.

I would love it if it had a higher resolution as well.

This should have better battery life on its 6-Cell abttery. And the INTEL GMA HD4000 Gaphics is more than decent mind you and more efficient as its integrated. In for 1!
