yeah they are sold out around here but i found one on craiglist for $850. i don't mind paying a little extra considering i didn't have to wait in line for 6 hrs

That MAY be true, but simply put you can debate quality all day, however at your home you will not have a Sammy and Vizio side by side to notice the difference. |

There is no standard for contrast ratio, the company can basically run the tests however they want and post whatever numbers they want so that consumers will look at them and say "Well, this TV has bigger numbers so it must be better!" ...looks like it worked. |
