i bought a bunch from fasttech.com for dirt cheap
got one of each lightning adapter they had, 30 to 8pin, 8 pin to micro usb, some cables, etc.. adapters work great! couple of notes on these generic lightning cables (all so far from different vendors) The plastic part where the cable meets the 8 pin connector is slightly bigger than apples and won't fit through any of the phone cases I have. The pin fits fine, and the cable works fine without a case on. Also, apples cables have a very long piece of heat shrink or whatever it is that covers the cable where it meets the plastic part i mentioned before, keeps the cable from failing at the stress point. The generics don't have this and have had one fail already in my truck from use. I took the rest of my generics and slipped a piece of heat shrink tubing over them and shrunk it to protect the cable. just fyi |
