For those of you wondering about currency conversion when paying in GB pounds:
I ordered this on 11/23/12 and paid 18.33 GB pounds plus 3.08 GB pounds for postal/delivery. Total was 21.41. Last night I received a notification on my chase credit card about the international transaction. It is still pending, but posted at $34.37 US $. This card supposedly has no foreign transaction fees. As an aside, while not the best rewards cards, one of the reasons I like using chase cards is that I have them set up to get an iPhone notification (alert) anytime the card is used with the amount and the merchant. Usually that occurs within 30-60 seconds of swiping the card (e.g. when at a store). |

I want to pick up a set for my sister for Xmas but she doesnt have a blu-ray player. Should I get these (and get someone to buy her a one) or just pick up the regular DVDs for basically the same price? Decisions decisions haha.

Mine is due to arrive by the 20th of December. Not sure why the East Coast will take less time then the West Coast, but whatever.
For those that were wondering (even if it was only me), it posted to my Amex last night. $34.29 for the discs, $.92 FTF. Still not bad and worth purchasing. I just hope the discs don't have any of the quality or color issues that are posted on the Amazon.co.UK site. Cheers! |

i'm kinda disappointed with how they combine 2 movies into 1 box and leave the back of the cover behind the disk. That makes the set looks cheap and kinda ugly. I could have scored all 8 movies separately from walmart for $4 each on black friday so that makes this price ain't as slick as I thought anymore.

I received an email from Amazon UK this morning:
I don't think the issue is with my address format, because it's the same address format that I use with the US Amazon site. Hopefully they allow me to place another order at the original purchase price. Otherwise, I'd have to wait for the next deal to roll around. If it's not slick, it's not a deal.
