Read up and decide for yourselves. The keycaps will be hard if not impossible to replace so consider that if/when you decide

I bought a dk1008 mx blue last year.

shipping took about 1 week (from tw) and was superbly packaged and probably waterproof w the amount of tape they used. I will complain the retail box is different from buying b&m in tw- it did not include a velvet bag. also the free gift is a small cute ducky key cap instead of a brush ( looks similar to those used for make up).

as for the keyboard quality. it is better than any ione keyboard. good solid construction but not as good as the costar keyboards. my quicfire rapid is actually heavier and very slightly better typing.

as far as alps switches I can't comment on that
this is pchome's everyday price so no need to jump on it unless u think currency exchange will change drastically
personally I'm sticking w cherry or buckling springs

It sounds like you're looking for linear switches (smooth travel, no click). According to most people who have bought this keyboard, you want to buy the keyboard with the "Black XM Alps" switches, as it is most similar to Black Cherry MX switches (linear and smooth).

The green switches of this keyboard are most similar to the Blue Cherry MX switches (clicky sound, with tactile feedback).

I myself ordered the Ducky keyboard with Black Alps XM switches. When it arrives, I'll provide an update with my impressions on how the keys feel.
