No. To get the combo you need to order the combo. If not available online, you'll need to order from them in store. They won't just be able to change your order. If not available, you might manage to cancel your order and then pick up the returned to inventory items... all depends on how they handle it. I remember in past years items ordered for pick-up were never set aside on black friday, with everything so busy and packed.

I've got this combo in my sons computer. Been running it since the 3570 came out. Zero problems, love the board.

Are you kidding me? DON'T ADVERTISE THIS! Anyone smart enough to check the ACTUAL blackfriday ads from Fry's (Saturday) should know better!

i5 3570k overclocks decently. If you intend to OC heavily Sandy Bridge will beat out Ivy Bridge. Intel works on what they call the Tick Tock cycle. One year they revise the hardware, the next they revise the architecture. The hardware revision will lower energy consumption and increase performance while also reducing the headroom left to OC and play with things (limited by old architeture), while the new architecture will optimize the hardware giving the largest potential jump in performance. I went Ivy because I didn't feel like OC'ing this build much, however my next build I will be waiting for the tock cycle as I'm going for a full VM server and filling the house with thin clients.

That 9am kills me as it conflicts with kickoff.

Plus, I don't really need another proc + mobo combo, especially after picking up the ASRock combo from MC.

You do realize that the reason behind the OC'ing disparity is not due to a "reduced headroom left to OC" because of a hardware revision right? It is because Intel decided to use thermal pads instead of solder between the die and the IHS (Ivy Bridge vs. Sandy Bridge respectively). Google "delidded ivy bridge" and you will realize that Ivy Bridge actually has a larger capacity in OC'ing, but it was crippled because of the cooling. This reminds me of the overclocking potential between a Q6600 and Q9650 (both w/9x multipliers), and how the Q9650 was FAR superior on avg.

The board should be fine for all but the most aggressive overclocker type efforts. The main thing with any board is stability and the reviews don't have anything negative to say in that regard.

I'd say green light for sure.

Too bad its B&M only. I was gonna try to do a pm at microcenter but they dont stock the G43, meh

Of course they don't.. That's how these stores get people.. Don't ever carry the same EXACT product of the competitor!

I am gonna buy the i5+mobo in few hours at B&M locally.. they may give more than one(but mentioned one item for customer) :-)

My Fry's only had about three of the MSI Z77A-G43 soooo I think OOS. My friend and I got two together and this guy next to us got the other. Not sure if they had any more in the back.

Been standing at check out for 20 minutes now. The system doesn't seem to have the proper rebate form so the cashier is running around trying to find the missing PDF file.....

PDF file could not be found. They refunded us the rebate amount + tax on each combo so now I don't have to do the rebate. They also took back the rebate receipts.

There was a handful of people standing outside when I got there at 9:50 AM. There was sort of a pseudo line but definitely < 20 people waiting to get in. Out of those people, only one other was looking for this mobo combo. The Fry's employees had no idea about it and had to go to the floor and grab all the mobos off of it so that nobody else would preemptively take them.

Total price paid per combo was $189.74 after the refund given.
