I am looking for a 7" Android tablet for my little girl. I need something that is ok and not too expensive. I grabbed a Jazz from Office Depot but from what I can tell it looks like the Google play store is not available for it and there is not much information online that i can find on it. I also got a Trio Stealth at Frys (7") but again I see that the play store is not available. EEK! I have not opened either of them so i can return either or both but I have spent a couple of hours reading online Confused and looking for some solid advise. Any help would be appreciated. look around

All these are rebranded china tablets, just search and find which tablet this really is via the specs. Then go flash a custom rom on it.

I would like to stay in the 75-100 range and the 7" because she is little and a 10" is too heavy for her. I know about flashing a custom rom. I have an HP Touchpad and I keep up with the nightlys on it. But there are clear instructions on line so i have that covered. On the off brands like this i see a small amount of information but most of it is clear as mud. I guess what would help is there a place with clear instructions that i can find?

You're more than likely going to be stuck with a China-blet which may or may not be all that good, may be a few Android versions behind, and may not be all that reliable for that price.

The only shot I'd give you is perhaps the Coby 7' Android Tablet. I just purchased it for my wife for Angry Birds and it is under $100. However, I cannot tell you of hits reliability or performance as I've not received it yet. The capacitive [amazon.com]. The resistive [amazon.com].

For the price, I totally agree with menace - The Coby 7' tablet isn't a bad deal at all and fits perfect in terms of size considering you're looking for the 7'
