I'm not sure how long ago... But I would I'd say almost a month.. This seller had the same deal only it was for $650 instead of $600.

I ended up buying one then (almost held by breath until it came in).... And when it finally did the camera was flawless and brand spanking new in the box... with all the proper US warranty documentation.

As for the recall issue I was completely unaware of this issue...

Soooo I just checked my s/n on Canons website, and I got back this beautiful message "Your camera is NOT affected."

Now question; even if it has all the proper warranty documentation, and is US warranty: is it true Canon may not acknowledge the warranty because the seller is not a authorized dealer? I mean, he had to buy it from somewhere legit (I hope) and if so then same rules would apply if I had sold my camera personally to someone that still had a valid warranty..

I bought mine pretty early from when it was posted. Got an email from Paypal tonight saying the seller cancelled my order and refunded my money but it's still not back in my account. Pretty lame cause I was really looking forward to getting it. Contacted "bigvalueinc" and they said that Paypal needed further verification on payment? So they cancelled and "refunded" me. Pretty awesome.

I called them today at 866-673-7187. The lady asked me about the order no. which was mailed to me. Once i gave that she told me that its one of the orders for which they have a lot of requests. She said probably by the end of the week almost all orders would be shipped. She said if i don't get a tracking number in 3-4 days i can check again.

Hopefully it'll be shipped within one week.

I just called them today and I got the same response as Shoaibar. They said its a popular order and that my item will be shipped by the end of the week. *crosses fingers*
