Make $30 or $40 after PM/AR Quickbooks Simple Start 2013 Office Depot or Staples

OD doesn't PM Amazon or any other internet retailers. They only PM other office stores like Staples/OM.

However, Staples happily PMs amazon...

EDIT: Got shot down by Staples CSR for PM (due to it being FAR).

So what is the final word if we need the PSK or not for the rebate?

If anyone can give some feedback on this and if they have successfully done this rebate before?

What about doing the return method to bypass the whole rebate process to get the $90 or $80 back directly from Intuit?

Previous rebates from Qucikbooks simple only asked for Company ID. The only exception is the one we did a few months ago but that is payroll software from Qucikbook. That one we have sucessfully gotten our rebates, however, it took a lot of effort to get it done.

I did a double coupons from staples for Qucikbooks. So I guess I would have to pass the OD one. Previously, I did two rebates from the same address and got them both. But I did some follow up, Qucikbooks rebates are getting more difficult to be done. Be Warn.

Do we need to send the full box or do we just send them the contents of the box like the CD, manual, etc.? Also we do need to activate it first so that it would seem we used it for a bit, but were unhappy with the purchase correct?

Any other feedback on you can give on going this route rather than the rebate method?

So are the OD and Staples rebates different offers and we can do both using same name/address?

Whats up with Officedepot.com ? Is the website ever gonna be up? Hope they didnt wind down their business becoz of Quickbook MM deal

The answer to your activation question is in the OP. If the pre-submission form doesn't ask for PSK, don't worry about it. I won't.

OK, after wasting like 2-3 hours looking for the PSK, trying the Payroll service on the Quickbooks site, etc, I chatted and called customer service. They feel the PSK on Staples rebate is a mistake and it should only be for the Desktop (installed version) not the online version.

I complained about how rebate says 9 weeks, etc, and opted for the 60 day money-back guarantee, should be 2-3 weeks to get my money back. I will never do Quickbooks rebate again (unless they change it to Staples Easy Rebates). Got a case number, etc. Cancelled my subscription to payroll and for the quickbooks online subscription itself.

Good luck to the rest of you. If enough people call and opt for the 30 or 60 day guarantee, maybe Intuit will get the drift that the barriers they put up may get them more $ but less customers....

This is not the purpose of rebate mechanisms. They are intended to be 'hoops' that a consumer must jump through... and hopefully give up on.

This is also not the reason 99.99% of us bought this product. We are trying to one-up the system and actually make a few dollars in the process, either via coupons, discounted GCs, or resale (though, as has been pointed out, this product is basically worthless in that regard).

In addition, I have found Intuit to be UTTERLY UNCARING of their customer service, especially wrt rebate offer issues. I have a just-resolved (on Friday) case in the CA Attorney General Office with Intuit over a rebate issue some months ago. For those having ANY issues with rebate payment non-compliance, I urge you to state your case with them twice, giving them the chance to blow you off, then end conversation and go straight to your state Attorney General Office (usually they have a 'consumer complaints' division or similar), and file a complaint. When there becomes a preponderance of evidence of inappropriate business practices, perhaps we'll see real change.

So I'm assuming I'll need to physical receipt shipped to me with the online Staples order in order to PM or can I simply print out the order invoice I received before I get the product and go in to PM? Anyone have experience on this?

For activation, once you enter the info from the box on the initial screen, does any info have to be entered on the "logon" or "company info" screens to activate? Reviewed the thread and didn't find an answer.

It should show up with rebate included at OD until tonight; the rebate ends tonight. Tomorrow, no rebate, no deduction in OD price for rebate. HTH
