There was a way on slickdeals a while ago that got shut down and I thought there was no other way to get it. The other day I was just googling around trying to find a way to join and I found this http://wireddeals.com/showdeal/1466402. It worked perfectly for me.

I canceled my first order so I could do it again using cashback. I wasn't technically charged for the first order since it hadn't shipped but there's been a $800 hold on my card for like 3 days now. How long before this usually goes away?

I do like Amazon's interest free for a year, as to not drain the savings too much all at once.

I'm sure Amazon's returns are alot better if there's something wrong with it but it's $100 more and a much longer wait (if Panasonic.com isn't lying about the ship date).

The biggest problem that I see with Panasonic is the 15% restocking fee that can be applied at their discretion if I decide I don't like the TV (doesn't sound like that is likely) and want to send it back. Keeps me from continuously looking for a better deal tho... I live in the Seattle area so warranty service will likely be thru some local authorized service center so I don't think shipping for service will be an issue like it might be for some people. Please don't get me worrying about how accurate the 1-3 days estimate is...

For anyone looking at this TV, Sam's Club also has it at at $798.

Looks like you can no longer order this TV from the EPP site currently.
Should have pullled the trigger, may end up with the UT50 at Costco.

I bought this last night at 11pm for $765 EPP at Panasonic direct. Just lucked out before they stopped it. I check this morning and can confirm it's no longer available from Panasonic's website.

I did not try to price match at Sams (none in my area) I was trying to get Amazon to price match to Panasonic's EPP price. I still have not heard back from them but they went OOS within 24 hours of my price match request.

I ordered thru Panasonic at the EPP price of $765+tax around 12:10 AM yesterday morning. Hoping that it ships by tomorrow...

Panasonic is notorious for long shipping times and cancellations. Don't be surprised if they cancel your order 2-3 weeks after you placed it which they did to me last year. That "ships in 1-3 business days" it says on the website doesn't mean anything. Luckily I found this deal before everyone else did so my 60U50 shipped soon after, but Panasonic.com is always a risk... I only keep coming back since they have such great prices and I have no FRYS near me.
