60" Panasonic Viera TC-P60U50 600Hz Plasma HDTV $699 @ Frys B&M

I had a feeling that 1-3 days shipping was b.s.

Yep, I placed my EPP order for 765+tax over the weekend and the status is still at "Processing" now.

I don't want to go back to DLP (my house is always dusty and I'm worried about dust in the fans and on the mirrors and all that) but I probably will if this panasonic.com order falls through. I'd rather deal with cleaning out a DLP every now and then than trying to get a big cheap LCD TV that doesn't have light bleed and flashlighting and all that all over the screen.

this plasma still available for $699 anywhere? what are the chances it comes back?

thinking about returning my LG 55LM4700 55" bundle for $798

^^^^ good question... i too am now waiting for the $699 deal to hopefully come back soon. have been waiting for a sweet deal on the ST but its not looking too hopeful.

I think there's a really good chance of price to drop back down to 699 in Frys. Not sure about other places but apparently I missed this when I was checking for reposts (mustve spelled the model differently or something) - Linky
This was a full 3 weeks before my post, and it was in store only.

edit : This tv is amazing, I hardly watched television before but I find myself in front of the tube more frequently ever since getting this lol. I hooked up an old pc I had laying around so there was never a need for "smart" features. The video card on the pc had no hdmi output, only DVI. So I bought this dvi to hdmi adapter [amazon.com] from seller "Importer520" and a 3.5mm to rca adapter [monoprice.com] from monoprice (you could use these too [monoprice.com]). Set audio options on hdmi screen from digital to component and was good to go! The only thing I'm wishing this tv had was an analog 3.5mm output jack so I could hook up some old 2.1 pc speaker set I have lying around. I'm sure its possible to add on but that would require some disassembly and whatnot.

I'm about 2 seconds from cancelling this order and going with the Dell 73C12. I went to Walmart and looked at TV's and comparing a 70" to a 60" is a pretty huge difference. Plus the fact that Panasonic might end up canceling our orders anyways. I'll deal with cleaning a DLP every once in a while for the extra 13" diagonal. Plus I want a freakin' TV before Christmas.

Yeah I went ahead and ordered the 73C12 DLP. I wish I would have made this decision a few days earlier when Dell had their gift card promo going on but still after cashback it will be around $810 and should be delivered next Friday. I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread to see if you guys get your TVs shipped any time soon.

Wow mine shipped this morning too. I had just talked myself into wanting a bigger DLP instead and was going to call Panasonic this morning and cancel. Now I have to call Dell and cancel my Dell order before that monster ships.

Got my shipping notice at 8:30 pm last night (29th), ordered 12:10 am on the 28th. Estimated local delivery is 04 Dec. Looking good so far...

The LG has a nice design and stand, and of course the 3D feature. Everything else about the LG is gimmicky and inferior to a Panasonic plasma ( granted this isn't the top of the line from Panasonic ).

Just got an update that my TV reached the transit point and is scheduled to arrive at my local office on 12/5. FYI, I live about 350 miles from the transit point.
