samsung galaxy tab or lenovo b/b laptop?

I camped out at best buy for the Samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 and the Lenovo laptop. Trying to figure which i'm wanting to keep?

I've never had either a lap top or tablet. Just looking to check emails randomly on my jobsite and check slick deals-swag bucks-bing search credit.
Is this laptop going to be slow?
Is the samsung going to have a short lifespan? Any problems reformatting these things when the drive acts up?

Whats the life span of these things? Is there a way to reformat these things after the hard drive gets corrupt? Can it surf slick deals?

If you need to write anything out or even to search for things, the tab is going to be a drag. Keep the tap if you just want ultraportable for cruising around, or maybe it's better for some gaming, i don't know about that. If it's for home use, or normal computer use, no question keep the laptop. A tablet is not a computer replacement at all.
