60" Vizio Sale Again?

Personally, I'd take it from Amazon while they're still at $999.99 - it's going to probably be the best deal you can find.

I can't buy it anymore for $999 when some paid $300 less, a true SD'er would target another model ;-)

I just saw the 60" Aquos on Sears.com listed for $688, but it's saying OOS. It's not LED smart like the Vizio anyway.

i missed the 60" but instead I went for the samsung 55" led for 799

Don't want the Sharp. LCD = thick, no smart TV and the big bezel is pretty ugly. The Samsung got poor reviews, and only 2 HDMIs with no Smart TV, I looked at that one rather closely. I really wish I would have gotten in on this Vizio at Walmart.com Thursday morning, I had no idea

Stay away from the sharp. It has numerous issues, audio delay being the worst. The Aquos name doesn't seem to mean what it once did.

Having had 2 different sets of Sharp's before, both having gave out on me, I'd suggest you stay away from Sharp.

price match with discover card sounds good to me. this is the best tv i have ever had. i love it soooo much that i bought 2, lol.

Don't think you'll get a price match with Discover. I don't have the T&C in front of me because I'm not a card holder, but I know for my VISA and AMEX that do offer it, they specifically make an exclusion for "price matches that fall under special one-day, clearance, or holiday sales." Some will go as far as to not not do a price match without a physical ad (thereby negating most online retailers where you'd hope to get the match).

If your card does offer it, do you mind posting the legalese behind it?

I researched it myself and found the following:

Proving a Loss
Submit the following documentation by the Claim Submission Deadline:

Completed and signed claim form.
The Discover card statement showing the entire original purchase price.
The sales receipt indicating the date, the store, the item and the amount of purchase
Either a copy of the dated, printed, lower-price ad, or a statement, signed by the store manager on store stationery, documenting the details of the lower price of the identical item.

^ In regards to above, let me preempt anyone that wishes to challenge this sentence ambiguous grammar...It won't work. If we break down the requirements of that clause, we're left with the following elements:
1. A copy of the dated, printed, lower-priced ad; OR
2. A copy of the dated, printed, lower priced statement; AND
3. Signed by the store manager on store stationary; AND
4. Must document the details of the lower price of the identical item.

Trying to get around the requirements via commas won't work. I already tried.

Now how would you go about doing that with Amazon? With Walmart, I can see that happening MAYBE if you don't live in a shady neighborhood and the employees/managers aren't so suspect of all their customers.

BUT even if that did happen, you'd have to 1. ensure that you found the BF ad and 2. convince your store manager to sign and approve that it legitimately was a lower price.

Any loopholes that I can't seem to find? This would be the ONLY reason I'd apply for a Discover and I'd hate to have another hit on the credit report for no reason if price protection (pre-BF purchases, naturally) did not work out in my favor.
