Upstar P24EWT 24" LED TV 1080p 60hz, $104.99+tax or lower, Free Shipping at Staples

Wonder if this is a good TV seeing as I've never heard of them. I bought the $78 Walmart one but I couldn't get myself to open it because it is 720p.

I have a 1080p screen on my laptop (and would be using this as a monitor sometimes), and I'm not sure if I should get a 1080p screen or just stick with the 720p.

Anyone know anything about this brand?

Definitely go with a 1080p display like this one, especially if you intend to use it as a computer monitor. Take that 720p junk back to WallyWorld and get some Legos or a Wii while your there.

Last year I picked up a Dynex 24" 1080p LCD at Best Buy (around $80 plus tax, I think) as well as a Sharp 26" 1080p LED Open-Box ($119 plus tax...used some RZ points to drop it some...). I actually preferred the Dynex over the Sharp as a computer display; the image was a bit softer & sharper which made it more suitable as a computer display. The 26" Sharp will end up being put to use as a gaming station for the kids, since I prefer not to chance having them put some burn-in on the living room Panny plasma.

As for product reputation, etc...at these prices and with the extended return windows on products until January, who cares, right? I thought about getting an extended warranty for mine through SquareTrade, but considering the low dollar amounts paid, it just didn't make any sense to me. Kinda like getting comprehensive insurance coverage on a sub $2k car, you know?

Just ordered one. Figured if I don't like easy to take back locally. total came to 111. including tax in MI. Im sure my son will say its a junk off brand model but just want for den.office, that wont get alot of use.Thanks for posting.

This is a decent deal, I struck out on some of the amazon black friday lightning deals. I needed a small bedroom TV to give to my mother for Christmas. Rep to the OP.

i don't know if i'm not seeing anything, but how do you guys know this is 1080p? i didn't see that in the description/specs anywhere on the site.

If it says 1920 x 1080 then it's 1080p. To be sure, you can also Google its model number "Upstar P24EWT" and likely you may find manufacturer or better description.
