This is for a teen with a reputation of killing laptops. For homework and facebook. I'm not spending big $$$ for his laptops anymore. |

How does this compare to this Sears Asus?
http://www.sears.com/asus-14inch-...5850&aff=Y I had picked that one up for $208 the other night for my brother and his gf who mostly surf the web, Facebook, YouTube. If they're pretty comparable it won't be worth my time to run from store to store picking up and returning....but if it's a much nicer machine I'm sure they'd appreciate it. I'm currently using a Dell 1121 i3 ultraportable laptop. I really like it, but I'd prefer something with a bigger screen. I just bought an Asus Transformer tablet for maximum portability, so I don't need my laptop to be ultraportable anymore. I'm thinking about selling my Dell and picking up this one. How will this compare to it?

In order to properly compare, it depends on which Core 2 Duo you have. At Benchmarklist, the highest ranked Core 2 Duo is at position 74, while the lowest rank is position 401. The Intel Celeron is at position 225. For those who want to compare this Intel Celeron B820 to another processor, check out Notebookcheck.net's Benchmarklist [notebookcheck.net] or PassMark [cpubenchmark.net]. (Tip: To quickly find your processor on the list, in Windows, click on "Ctrl + F", to use the "find" feature, type in your key words, and you should be able to find all matching criteria.) |
