Klipsch Promedia 2.1 THX Computer Speakers $99.99 + FS @ BB

I bought this from best buy last year at the exact same time. The deal was sweeter last year though. The price was $90 and you received a $10 gift card for an order over $100. So I got a $10 black friday game as filler. Got the speakers and game for essentially $90 total ($100 order plus $10 gift card).

After a year of use with my ps3, movies, and music I can say that these Promedia 2.1's are fantastic.

I owned these before - probably some of the best computer speakers made. The amp (inside subwoofer) had a tendency to fail after a number of years, so. Don't know if Klipsch fixed it now.

The only negative on these speakers is the placement of the power switch. I don't know if they changed it but the power switch on my set is on the sub so you can't easily turn them off.

These speakers are amazing, especially at the price.

Just hooked my klipsch up last night that I bought on last years deal of 94.99 from BB.

I had z2300 and loved them. Surprised by subwoofer. I think Logitech has a little more kick and klipsch has much better mid and highs. Both are great but will keep klipsch attached for now. I split the signal from htpc to test both. Was fun

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Can't get z2300s anymore which is sad.

There is no power switch whatsoever on newer models of the 2.1 promedia like the set I bought last year.

I have to use a "green" surge protector that I bought in an Amazon lightning deal. My monitor is plugged into the surge protector as the "master" device. This way, the speakers turn on when I turn on my monitor and turn off when I turn off my monitor.

I bought this set at least five years ago and I am still using them today. Might pick another set up just in case this one finally decides to fail, are these on sale often?

Almost once a year these speakers are around $90-$100.
I think you should wait. Just my opinion...

These were had at this same time last year and from Best Buy too. They normally come down to this price range, which is a great deal for one of the best 2.1 setup speakers for computers, etc. These Klipsch speakers output very strong sound with powerful bass, and with crisp clean notes. I did a search around about the power switch, and there are no power switch on the system. It's only in the earlier versions, which are discontinued now. On idle, the system will power down to conserve energy, so a power switch is not needed. If anyone is buying this, make sure to fully test the speakers with very high pitch music and low/high bass. I actually had a defected one and had to return/exchange it at Best Buy. The sound on one of the speakers cracked and made some static sound (like tin foil). My system is still running strong after one year and I couldn't be any happier. I love these speakers and they are worth every penny. These are fantastic for the price!

I've had the Klipsch promedia 4.1's for over a decade, been using them as a 2.1 setup for years and I'm VERY happy with them!

Echoing everyone's sentiment on how awesome these pc speakers are. Would buy theses again if I didn't already have a 5.1 setup in my room.

I was just about to comment on the lack of on/off switch. I used a "green" power surge protector to solve that issue as well.
