No, all consumer monitors are LCD. When it says LED, they are only referring to the backlight. All of the picture elements are Liquid Crystal.

These people you speak of sound like fools, don't know anyone serious who does this...if you post a deal for an LED backlit monitor and claim that it isn't an LCD it had better be an OLED or something else or expect to legitimately be taken down or edited by a mod. The other guy isn't a "smartass" here even if he was baiting a little bit. OLED != LED LCD != CCFL LCD. But CCFL LCD and LED LCD are both LCD monitors. No real debate here.

If I understand this correctly, no real difference between LCD and LED except the LCD is more energy-efficient?
