seems like a solid deal IMO. if you ar ein the market for a solid 5.1 setup id definitley consider this... at least buy it and then think about picking up... its no hair off your back if you never go...

Too bad, I was going to get them but the closest store in stock is 2 hours away. I guess BB will continue to never get money from me since they never want to change their business model.

What about the other 2 speaker systems I posted links to above? For all I can tell, the RM6750 system is better and cheaper than the TL1900, and that is still available at Newegg. Unfortunately there seems to be a serious lack of interest in this deal, and I don't know enough from comparing the specs to make any useful conclusion. So given that I don't know any better, I'm going to stick with the TL1900 even though it's a little more than the RM6750 unless someone says why I shouldn't (and hopefully before the Newegg price expires tonight).

You have to be an expert in this field or be able to listen to the speakers before buying them (which is impossible these days in the land of low inventory B&Ms) neither of which I can do, so I pass on most deals due to ignorance and lack of help on SD.

Nice, thanks man. At this price point from reputable manufacturers, I'm pretty sure all of them will sound about the same to a non-audio guy like me. Newegg gets my money for those RM6750s.

No problem. I just wish I knew if I should pick up my TL1900 order at Best Buy or order the RM6750 from Newegg and not pick up the TL1900 instead. That's what's killing me. I don't know which speaker system is better. If they all will sound the same, then I should go with the RM6750 because it'll save me about $17, but the RM6750 set is older and the sub in the TL1900 is bigger while the RM6750 has bigger speaker drivers, so I'm not sure which is really better. Is a bigger driver better or a newer model better? It's a total stab in the dark for me. Once I order from Newegg, that sale is final. With Best Buy I can always change my mind.

Where o where is an audiophile expert when I need one? I wish I knew someone to call before the RM6750 deal expires. Or I wish there were a way to order something from Newegg but hold it for a few days before shipping so I can talk to people.

I don't know. It might mean that Best Buy simply had a small quantity of TL1900s available whereas Newegg had more of the RM6750s. I'm still agonizing over this decision. I wish one person in the know could tell me why the TL1900 is worth $17 more than the RM6750.

I can't even find the speaker sensitivity or efficiency (I don't know what those mean exactly) to compare. All I see is the RM6750 has 3.25" midrange drivers vs. 2.5" in the TL1900, but the TL1900 has a 10" sub vs. a 8" sub in the RM6750. The RM6750 is a few years old, and there is no date anywhere on the TL1900 so I assume it's a recent model. So I'm still clueless which is better. If they are totally equal models, then I should cancel my TL1900 order and get the RM6750. Why pay $17 more for non-existent benefits?

what would be a good receiver for this either TL1900 or RM6750?

Slickdeals is great for finding out about deals, but for obtaining useful advice on which speaker system to get it's often an epic fail like this time.

I seriously can't figure out why absolutely nobody has the TL1900 speakers listed except Polk Audio and Best Buy. Newegg, Amazon, and Crutchfield have squat on the TL1900... just the TL1600.

mind giving some specific model number on the receivers? should I get one of those network enabled ones?

it is hard on the speakers, I am holding onto TL1900, just it sounds better to me
