If all goes according to plan, sometime tomorrow (Thursday), Albertsons will have a new owner, Albertsons LLC. Supervalu will no longer own them. Let the Albertsons closings begin! Many management changes go into effect at closing. Employees learn of their fate after the closing.

Irony, their website is still maintained. They even provided St patty day Special.

I still trying to find any update on Entertainment.com news with maybe White Knight. I think they going to find a buyer!
I don't think so. They filed for Chapter 7, liquidation. Next court hearing for creditors is on April 8.

This is the latest update, from yesterday. http://www.ptotoday.com/ptoblog/f...-the-cold/

I saw them still on sale at the CVS in Culver City and Walgreens in WLA this week.

Check your email and/or account. They just sent me an email saying they loaded 250 points to my account. So far this month, I've received 650 free points. 200 from birthday email, 200 from survey and today's 250 free points. I RARELY shop at Fresh & Easy.

It looks like the today's giveaways are different. For both me and SO, they rounded us up to the next dollar level. In my case, that was 4xx points since I recently cashed out. I shop there occasionally.

Orange County Register $1 for 52 weeks of Sunday only.
http://kidsbookfestival.com/wp-co...gister.pdf

I used to have 10+ subscriptions with OCR deliver to my mom's house for 20 cents each. I canceled the subscriptions recently after my mom health got worse and she couldn't come out to lug in all those papers Sunday morning and stack them in the corner for me until I come up to see her every 2 weeks. Frown

LA Times has better coupons and I had the $10 Sunday only but don't know if they have any special running now for that.
So now I just buy my coupons from clipping sites or flea bay.

Like Freebies4me2 who also replied, I have the $10 LA Times deal. If you are interested, do a Google search for "LA Times $10 Sunday"- it was running earlier this year-(Google pulled up that SD'er Duhmel posted in Hot Deals in January) and there are blogposts from about 10 days ago saying it was still running.

Call LA Times at 800-326-5500 and use promo code 8031. There was a mention that it was for new members, but may work for current customers. You can get up to 5 papers a week.

When I did this deal you had to pay for the year up front- HTH!

Like previously mentioned, the LA Times $10 subscription is great.

It isn't a subscription but if you are in the LA Opinion area -- I would buy at least one newstand MONDAY edition everyweek (except for weeks when there are no inserts or Red Plum Only) -- the price is 0.50 /1 you get P&G and a smaller SmartSource and sometimes there are MQs that aren't in the LA Times or Daily News /Breeze.

Can't remember the name of the paper but one time when I had dinner outside Disneyland, I noticed a FREE spanish language paper that had the SmartSource en Espanol --- if you are in Anaheim, you might check that out.

New coupon policy. EACH store location will have its own policy. No more corporate policy. This will be a mess.

ugh that will be a big mess!

Though this was interesting about Walgreens:
http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/...ging-suit/
Donohoe says customers who are overcharged at checkout will be entitled to receive an item for free if it cost under $5, and either a $5 discount or a $5 credit if it cost more than that.
