I got my shipping confirmation today, but two hours later received the package. Only the grab bag was included and they said lip shimmers and radiance night cream were out of stock. I called and spoke to someone who somehow managed to conjure up the items even though she originally said they were "out of stock" and had been cancelled. She said they'd ship out today.
I got mine yesterday in a pretty little bag. I didn't want to open it and mess up the arrangement because I'm giving it to my mom for xmas, but I eyeballed it and I think I got almost the exact same thing as jcemom. Either way, it's a nice, inexpensive gift.
1. Bought a grab bag in 2009 for $28 and this time there are definitely few/smaller items according to my sis who received both. Last time it was a real basket with 6 regular-sized, 12 mini-sized, and 4 special gift including gloves. This time it was a cheap bag, too.
2. Called CS rep last week and they said because of the technical difficulties, I wouldn't be charged??? Not sure if she meant until after shipped or at all. Anyone else not charged even after delivery?
Bottomline: If really not charged, then yay. If really charged then not really worth it.
Anyone knows if I can refuse shipment and bring the package back to UPS for return and avoid paying the return shipping charge to Burt's Bees? I e-mailed them twice, over a week ago, but no response. I ordered 7 items but only 1 is in-stock (a full price item) which I don't want to keep. It's probably cheaper if I get it on sale in store. Such poor CS and inventory count, it's the first and last time I ordered from them.
I ordered three on 11/21 and never got a ship confirmation - called this am and they cancelled the order - never sent me a note to tell me that. All my stocking stuffers. ugh. I think that's lame that people that ordered later got theirs - what kind of order/packing system do they work off? sheesh.
When I asked why they cancelled it, they told me that it's the holiday season and they ran out. Kinda tacky when you know that's not the real truth based on feedback from this site. I think I have had enough of Burts. I despise bad customer service in this day and age.
Deal worked for me today with coupon codes. Entered both, but it only applied one. Due to procrastination had to pay for shipping making it not so slick. HOWEVER, if I don't get this for my wife she would not be happy - LOVES THESE!!
