Very true. When you tell people that you have $3K in MIRs, they treat it like its pure profit. The article is written with that tone as well. The only profit comes from the sale of the FAR items and/or the CB sites if that was available. Moreover, paying sales tax when buying the item and while using the rebate card is another blow to the profits. Unless someone is cashing out rewards, this yields very little profit. Certainly, not enough to pay college tuition.

Thanks, I had rewards that needed to be spent and a child that wants a wireless blue tooth speaker for Christmas. I picked up the Monster Portable Blue Tooth Speaker and the coupon worked fine.

I went to a store on Saturday that told me that. Told me it was corporate wide and they got an email which they refused to show me so I called from the store and the CSR told the cashier (thru my phone) that there was no such corporate wide memo. Still refused to honor it so I went to another and they were happy to let me buy three. (and unlike my horrible experience from the day before they all worked immediately).

I purchased batteries at the store that refused to let me buy a gc so I'm going to fill out a survey. I hope corporate reads it.
