Hi, I am a current owner of the baby monster subwoofer from Epik, the Legend.
It's an awesome product that I paid ~$640 when it came out including shipping. This thing is big and heavy! But now it's $399 including shipping (Reg Price $499 excluding shipping). I don't think there is anything better at this price point on the market, bar none.

Wow. I bought one last Black Friday (2011) for $500. Still have it in my bedroom. Incredible sound for the money. $400 is even better. TU!!!

Such a good deal...I have the Knight right now and sadly I cannot use it seeing as I reside in a shared residence Mad

If you are in the market for a sick subwoofer on a budget, it does not get better than this...

How would this fare against a Hsu STF-1?

It would smoke it.

The STF is a great sub for smaller setups (and by that I mean SMALL). It just doesn't put out the impact the Legend will.

I so want to bite but does anyone know about the amp issues that I've been reading about on the forums?

It seems to be an issue with this exact model but I cannot tell to what extent. Customer service seems to be a major issue as well.

good enough for a 16x22 room? or let me ask differently.. will it be too much of a overkill for that room. I was considering Klipsch RW-12H on newegg for $299.
