Chase Ultimate Rewards Site is very Slow???

I was hoping for something also =(

Looks like a bust for this year. Hopefully they'll have some decent GCs discounted in January to use my 50k points on!

Hey all - I did the same as everyone else and banked all my Chase UR points this year only to find out they are not offering any sales like they did last year. Now someone just PMed that they're willing to buy my points for $1.30/100 points, essentially giving me a 30% bonus. He claims to use the points for travel and says he can get better use on them than the cash he'd be giving me.

Has anyone done this before? I'm wary. It sounds too good to be true.

Best use for UR points is travel. I would buy UR points at 1.3 cents all day long.

Sounds fishy to me. I would not do it, especially if it is from a new member or someone without a ton of reps.

They probably aren't doing it because they lost their shirts last year with all the returns to BB for full credit. I too was saving for todayt hoping the deals would come, but I believe last year they didn't start right away on Cyber Monday.

If you have a Chase Sapphire card you can transfer UR points to airline points, which can have redemption values greater than $0.01/pt

Disappointing. Had lots of points banked up too.

It is a legit market, however I cannot say the person offering to buy is legit. I have done business with rewards2cash.com (as have many other SDers, check finance forum) and highly recommend him.

Thanks for all the advice, folks! I am going to look into it more. I would feel safer using a website like rewards2cash that SlickDilla mentioned vs. a new member. They're offering $1.25/100pts right now, so that's not too much of a loss for the increased sense of security. But if travel really is that good a deal through UR, I might just hold on to all my points for some future flights.

One thing is for sure: I am not going to redeem for even money through Chase now that I know the real market value of my UR points!

I don't get why someone would want to pay more for points? I just checked a flight and the price was the same as expedia? I was saving points too but was just gonna dump them for the cash. I don't see where they can be worth more???

If you redeem for travel via the UR travel portal, the points are fixed value at 1 cent/pt. (I believe if you have a Sapphire Preferred card, you can redeem them at 1.25 cents/pt).

But the best use is if you have a Sapphire or Ink card, you can transfer the points to airlines. The ratios vary among the airlines, but if you then redeem the airline points for first class or international travel, you'll get way more than 1 cent/pt. Of course if you're not planning on traveling then this doesn't help you, but this is why other people will pay more for the points.

sad.. been saving my reward points for their bf sale.

i have $410 saved up with chase rewards, also 50k points with my southwest card with chase.. nothing to spend it on yet.
