Btw, did any of you buy the panasonic 3d glasses? I bought the cheaper samsung 4100 for $20 instead of the expensive Panasonic 3D glass for $63. Accdng. to AVS forum, it's compatible...

I'll be getting one pair of the Panasonic glasses for myself, but probably not until next March when there's potential for pricing to drop (perhaps the new 2013 models will again need proprietary glasses for that model year?). Just trying to track down any extended warranty options for it as apparently there are switch issues on the thing. Anyone wanting to share in the 3D experience can buy their own glasses by getting the $19 Samsung's, and I'll be getting one of those to hold me over until a price drop happens on the Panasonic model...

So I own a 55" samsung d7000, which I consider an awesome tv! I ordered this Panasonic as a secondary tv in another room. Mine doesn't come until Saturday, so if anyone gets theirs before then and has a Samsung, I would love to know how it compares. I'm expecting not as good, but not sure by how much...

Just got my 47" set up.. This TV is gorgeous. Used $250 chase freedom credit so I nabbed this thing for $550. The picture is simply breathtaking and the blacks are surpisingly good once you configure the settings. The viewing angles on it are also spectacular. Don't go by the CNET review, trust the AVS review

I decided to go with the 55" to replace an old Samsung 50" plasma.

I got mine, but the stand came badly damaged, returned it for a replacement. Did everyone elses come undamaged?
