Given that I'm android developer that researched tablets like this I have to say you should avoid these like the plague. They get no support and end up being something like this:
http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/20...id-tablet/ DO NOT BUY! If they have to use 'auto rotate' as a selling point, you know their product doesn't offer much. If you want a good tablet for a good price go with the Nexus 7 16GB. It'll get updated often, get a lot of support from developers, and runs great for the price. Is the Double Power 1010 supported on XDA? The Nexus doesn't need to be. It's updated automatically via Google. When devices aren't supported, they grow long in the tooth quickly. If you've never owned a 10" Android tablet, there's a lot to be desired. Apps look much better on a 7" device. And for close to the same price, you're getting a much better device. |

I mean, even my old cell phone had 8gb memory + SD card + tv-out (and FM radio. woo). And that thing's from 2008 and would now be considered a piece of junk. I've certainly hooked my phones up to TVs plenty of times. No hdmi on a 2012 tablet seems pretty lame the more I think about it, actually. |

The lack of HDMI or even USB doesn't seem to halt the sales of the holy grail of tablets - the iPad. And I think it's because there's a general use for a tablet - a couch surfing or travel companion. It's a luxury, and not an all out business machine you depend on. I really looked hard for a laptop 3 years ago with HDMI. I think I've hooked it up to my flat screen 3x in those years. So it's nice to have, but is it necessary? YMMV. |

there are tons of people who connect their tablets to TVs. its not for watching movies alone.. sometimes i just want to share pics/small clips/small videos stored on my tablet.. with larger audience on a bigger screen.. again, the idea of a sd card is not that it be removed constantly.. the idea is that you upgrade your storage with your needs with very little extra cost.. with movie and music download (as i use my tablet constantly on travel) even my 32GB tablet seems to fill up quickly.. good thing is that i am able to stuff in an extra 64gb card at just $35 now... carrying adapter cables is not practical.. most of the time when i need that, its not on me.. i have not come across many apps that look better on 7" compared to 10"!! the only thing good about 7" tablets is portability (and i do like them for that).. the apps that would look better on 7" than 10" are the ones which are tailored for phones.. they would look even better on 5"..
