I've read these are easy to upgrade with the back panel. Some take out the CD-ROM and put in extra HDD. I personally prefer to have disc media. With USB 3 fast storage isn't an issue and I like to burn ISOs.
Anyway I ordered from the lenovo outlet last week and they have a 10% coupon. Maybe it's just for new customers but I forgot to apply mine in the rush for a rare G780 score. If the coupon doesn't pop up try deleting cookies or open incognito. Pretty significant savings if you used it on this deal. Too many slick deals!

From the picture, this one looks like the mouse buttons are embedded within the trackpad instead of separate buttons. If so, that's disappointing as that would be a show stopper for me. I want to be efficient as possible with the trackpad and mouse, so I prefer separate buttons like my current laptop.

no but the Y580 was on sale with CyberMonday Coupon for 899 - 30 B&N Coupons. It disappeared as well as availability for Y580 got pushed back to more than 4 weeks.
So it was 869 with 660M, and bluray, or 50 bucks difference. Snooze / and loose sometimes. I put it in my cart more than once. I have an acer 8200 series on life support. Overheating quite a bit these days. Ides at 78-70c. After some usage web browsing, installing apps, and a bit of HD playback spikes up to 104ish. Ive reapplied new pads and paste, Cant figure out what it is. In order to reformat Win7, had to use a desk fan to keep her cool. Something isn't right, and its breaking 7 years old. T7600 Core2Duo. This is all with a laptop cooler underneath, Its always run hot with an X1600 GPU, but lately, it doesn't without cool down period. Lots of blue screens. Its becoming annoying quickly. Anyone know if this y500 has DDR5 on the GT650? I'll get it if it does. People have been saying the 650 OC's like a champ.
