I like the shoes and the price, but I don't like the retailer.

I heard from a Merrell retail store that they actually pulled all the first production run of these off the shelf. I wonder if Tanga is selling those first run shoes that had issues? I was very interested in these initially.

The color combinations on Tanga are the ones from the original Mix Masters that were recalled by Merrell. They were having problems with the uppers tearing. Eventually they fixed the problem and released them as the Mix Master 2.

So it's a no go?

So are these the first version of the Mix Masters? I'd rather not buy a pair of shoes to have the upper rip sooner than they should. Seems odd that they would still be on sale after Merrell recalled them, but I guess that may be why they are so cheap.
