NOT a fan of Movado. Bought an ESQ online about 6 mths ago and it fogged up inside after couple of drops of rain got on it!!! no submersion only external droplets. Luckily it started working again after 4 or 5 days. The band is also extremely long. I'm not a big guy and have normal size wrist BUT the band is so long it juts out kinda unsightly. I'm using the '2nd' hole. Not sure if the watch bands were made for Hulk wrists or what.

These two watches have fine print "swiss quartz" under 6'clock; other Movado watches have "swiss made" instead even though they are also quartz. Anybody knows why the difference?

Weird. I own ESQ and Movado (I have a lot of watches...) and they've been holding up for years. My band on the ESQ wore off after a few years but it was easy to replace.

I own this exact watch in women's and bought it at a Movado outlet for 70% off the list ($600). This was during a Memorial Day sale event. That said this is a slick looking watch and for this price I'd buy it again if I needed to.

Some people prefer the clean simplicity and modern styling of Movado. I personally like it much more than chrono/diver watches that look too busy and cluttered.

Swiss Made = entire watch was made in Switzerland
Swiss Quartz = Watch case and movement made in Switzerland + Leather strap made elsewhere (usually China)

That's what a rep told me when I bought mine from a Movado Company store last month.

This is a GREAT deal for a beautiful watch.

Would buy, but worried about leather band with small wrists. All my watches are metal bands except for a dive watch with a rubber band that I have to use in the last hole, and cut off the excess strap.
