So does this mean any IPAD 1 case will work on this tablet?
Momo 11 Bird Dimension 243mm * 190mm * 9.7mm
Ipad 1 Dimensions: 241.2mm x 185.7mm x 9.4mm

It probably wouldn't fit in an Ipad hard case that conforms to the tablet. A soft case or generic one-size-fits-most type of case, sure.

BTW it seems if you install busybox after rooting this device it makes your internal memory space go to zero with no way to fix it since there in no firmware. So stay away from busybox.

I was about to post something about that. The one guy says, "I rebooted. Why did I do that?" and his memory went to zero.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/s...157&page=4

I don't know if he means some other kind of "reboot," but generally "reboot" just means turning the device off and then on again, so messing with rooting it is cause for concern if it's so easy to brick just with busybox and/or a rooted reboot.

I have rebooted mine a few times with no problems, but I hadn't specifically installed BusyBox. However, I guess I will have to stay away from apps that also require BusyBox like Titanium Backup.

On the 1st one that I messed up by flashing stuff, it did eventually get the 0KB problem and that very well may have happened when I tried installing BusyBox in the hopes I could use BusyBox fdisk to resize the NAND partitions to restore my backed up .img files.

I received my Acase case that was made for the HP Touchpad. There are definitely pros and cons.

Cons: It doesn't fit very well. This case fits the Trio perfectly width-wise and height-wise, but it's a bit too long by it's length. By about 4mm.

Pros: It doesn't cover any of the buttons or ports. The only thing it covers is 2/3 of one of the speakers. Can charge, use headphones, access the microSD card, etc, with no problem. It fits pretty well AFTER I purposely "broke" two of the 6 fastening clips so that those two clips were no longer as rigid and could more easily move to fit those excess 4mm.

All of those clips are very sturdy and rigid with basically no movement. Meaning it wouldn't fit the Trio perfectly length-wise, until I pushed on two of those clips purposely until I heard a snap. Those two broken clips are no longer unflinchingly rigid, but still have structural integrity. The Trio is in no danger of slipping out with those other 4 clips having a vice-like grip on the tablet.

Also, like the other case on the previous page, it has trouble completely closing the final clasp to shut it tight. While I don't need to use a credit card to shoe horn it shut, it takes a lot of effort to clasp it shut or reopen it. Thinking of "breaking" that clasp too, it'll still have plenty of structural integrity to stay closed, but way easier to open and close completely.

You can see here that it sticks out a little bit since it isn't a true perfect fit.
http://i45.tinypic.com/1zvqum8.jpg

The only thing the case covers up is part of one of the speakers.
http://i49.tinypic.com/o75000.jpg

Total thickness is less than a quarter.
http://i49.tinypic.com/4vr91v.jpg

You can see the 6 clasps. The two that I broke are the two left ones in this picture. Or, the ones nearest the "middle" of the case if help open. These are the two clasps that would have to be undone anyway each time you want to set the screen at an angle, so it doesn't really bother me that these two broken clips don't really do much anymore.
http://i48.tinypic.com/348jb7q.jpg

The case will prop the Trio up easily at any of the 3 angle settings.

All in all, I'd say there is probably a better case out there that fits much better, but we haven't found it yet. If you're going to shell out $ for a case that doesn't fit perfectly, it might as well be a cheaper one like the one on the last page, as this one is relatively pricey at $22.95 shipped, when you can get a similarly non-fitting one for 1/4 of that.

I should be getting that screen protector I ordered in the next day or two and I'll post results on that fit as well.

Your idea of breaking the clips gave me wonder if I could make the clasp on my Technocel case work better by bending it or otherwise doing something with it. I set it on the floor and pushed on it with all my weight. I didn't feel it break or even notice it bending, but it does feel rather springy as I bounced my weight on that clasp trying to push it out several times. I can't tell if it's really rigid plastic inside or metal. However, I tried it out, and now the clasp will close all the way without assistance of a credit card as a shoe horn. Great idea! It never occurred to me to get physical with it. Smilie

Fry's has a $20 rebate on the Trio if purchased during the month of December. This brings the price down to $130 which is approaching the BF deal:

At $130 I still think this is pretty competitive given the screen size.

As mentioned, the issue is with installing busybox, but it's slightly more complicated. I believe the rooting procedure mentioned earlier in this thread somehow incorporates busybox abilities during the flashing process. The scripts being pushed during this rooting process probably already give the tablet busybox abilities eventhough you may not see the "busybox" app in your app drawer.

After rooting, if one installs busybox ontop of this, that's were you run into issues. I use Titanium Backup with no problems with this tablet and rebooted numerous times without issue after following the rooting procedure.

Just don't install busybox after rooting and you'll be fine.

For $130, I might rather kick in another $20-30 and get a similar tablet from Aliexpress with an IPS screen. The IPS screen IS that much better.
