Canvas On Demand [groupon.com] is having a deal on Groupon [groupon.com] right now.

$29 for a 16x20 1.5in photo canvas print (a $112 value),
$49 for TWO 16x20 1.5in (a $224 value) or you can use the value towards something else
Shipping is included.

This price is $10 cheaper than the last time this deal came around and was FP.

that might be stretching it to do it on 30x40.... here's a helpful chart.

http://www.photographyicon.com/enlarge/

to find out your "camera's mp" just divide your horizontal and vertical resolution of the pic by 1000 and multiply them together. so for example... (1900/1000) * (1200/1000) = 2.28 megapixels.

so by that chart it recommends with your resolution you probably don't want to go too far into the "fair" section that goes beyond 16x24... but again this is just a guideline. it might even help that it's on canvas so you could go higher. what matters the most is your picture is in focus and not blurry. hope this helps out some people.
helpfull information, rep'd!

You're a little early...

Your code will not be available until the date indicated by Groupon, which is usually two business days after the close of the sale.

Good to hear, thanks. Was just worried, because in the past they have always said upgrading was fine. Rep for confirming it still works =)
I just tried upgrading and it only gave me a credit equal to the original minus shipping, meaning it was forcing me to pay an extra $16 for shipping if I made any customization at all. Because of that, I stuck with the original stock 16x20, even though I wanted to get a frame and backing for it.

They may have been bogged down with all of the orders, mine just went through no problem.

Also, my recommendation is not to use the canvasondemand.com/groupon site. You can start from that original link, but then I would suggest clicking 'canvas prices' towards the top and then continuing with your order that way. Then you can apply the coupon during checkout.

I got a few photo books last year, and a photo canvas like 8x10 last year. They were ok, very average. The pics were uploaded from a canon s95, directly to SF and set to full res (they let you choose like "fast upload" or full res). So the source pics were good. That being said they turned out kinda grainy and not sharp, but I got the photo books buy 1 get 2 free it was like $24 shipped for all 3 so I really couldn't complain. SF has some like 70% off sales so it makes me more accepting of their mediocre quality.
Sounds exactly like my experience. I was using images from a canon xti, so no issues there. Full res as well, still grainy and discolored. I'd rather spend more and get pic I can use!

Received my order today of two 16x20. And they came out GREAT! The retail price for each is around $120 but $50 for two was a steal and looking at them hanging on the wall, they definitely have the look and feel of a quality product.

They seem to be top quality and I used two black and white pictures and the prints are accurate. I get a lot of similar size pictures printed on Kodak Metallic paper (usually from Adoramapix - recommended again) but these are a real nice change of pace and I like the texture and depth.

I dont think I would pay the regular price for these ever unless i get rich quick but if a similar deal comes along I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

Awesome slick deal!

Got my order yesterday and I'm very impressed! Now I'm going to order some more as Christmas gifts. Great bargain at 2 for $49. Wish I could have gotten some more at this price.

If anyone missed out on this- there's a deal from CanvasLifestyle that seems to beat this:
http://slickdeals.net/f/5691390-65-off-and-free-shipping-AC-at-CanvasLifestyle-20x16-Gallery-Wrap-for-28-shipped?v=1

There, the 20x16 (or 16x20) is going for $28, but more interesting than that to me is the discount goes the whole way up the line. You can get a 60x40 for a little over $100 after the coupon code.

I'm really thinking about getting this, blowing up two pictures of my parents dog, and giving it to my parents as a Christmas gift. I really hate the 4:5 ratio though, it sucks. Thoughts??

Thank you! I actually received the pictures last week and there was a hole in the picture! I had to wait on the online chat for two hours before they started to help me! It's sort of ridiculous... I wasn't very happy with their service. They said they would have it replaced but it may not make it here before Christmas..

WHAT THE HELL, their service sucks. I ordered on Dec 4/5th and I had gotten an email saying they are changing the size at no additional cost...
THen i get an email last saturday saying my payment didn't go through (?!?!?) so i payed again (total was like $3.52 after groupon)
Then I get another email saying I need to pay again. I'm waiting in line for chat right now, like 2 hrs wait.

Then I check my order status on their website and it says
Order Tracking Ship Date 12/26/2012* Delivery Date1/1/2013*

what the heck i ordered so long ago, they are stalling, and they are still advertising on their website that if you order now, you will receive it before christmas....wtf

i was just posting on someone else's thread that i had to wait 2 weeks for them to get back to me on an email consultation and then they wanted $15 extra for xmas delivery. i think this groupon thing exploded before they had a chance to hire more people
