FREE Zappos VIP Account

zappos is good for certain things that never go on sale. They tend to sell at MSRP, so if it's the same price everywhere, why not buy somewhere with great customer service and lightning fast shipping?

Free next day shipping on every Zappos purchase? I've used this service way too many times and it's great. Just make sure you log-in at vip.zappos.com before you start shopping and you're set.

It is a nice to have. I got this a while ago thinking I would never use it but I did! This is like Shoprunner; you never know when you'll need it until you do. Free so get it anyway...

It would be interesting to see Zappos' books to compare the PM days vs the post-PM days.


As I recall, they had outrageous prices then too, but the people who PM'd had to at least be a little more likely to purchase from Zappos without PM than the way it is now, where Zappos is completely out of sight and mind for most people until this VIP account deal comes along yearly, and I doubt this actually tempts anyone to shop with them.


Perhaps a mere 100% PM would have been a better move, maybe with a provision where they wouldn't do it if it was below cost. I guess we'll never know.
