With analog headphones you are able to mix the mic's stream and audio pc into one audio stream. Useful for streaming software that only allows one audio stream. I can't do the same with my current Creative Arena headsets which are USB. Just wondering if the F540 will have the same issue but I'm thinking it could be a software thing where the mixer just won't let me add any USB source, coupled with the PC's audio.

And I believe the F540 can be used for the PC as well.

What mixing software are you using, it's hard to imagine that it would not see any USB device simply as an audio device, unless it's doing something a little more low level than Windows intends for it.
The only way you are going to be able to get what you want in a single "channel" is to hear your own voice, otherwise you must be using two different channels -- one for your combined audio (playback + mic) and one simply for your playback. My guess is that your mixing software creates another virtual audio device that you map to your broadcasting software.

You could fix all this by creating a virtual audio device yourself, but it sounds like your mixer does this for you anyways with the exception of USB devices (for some reason) and writing a how-to manually do it would be pretty lengthy.

The bottom line is that you found something that works for you and the F540 would fit into that scheme since it's all analog, but it would not be truly wireless as you'll need a cable going from the headset to the mic port on your audio device.

You may want to look at FFSPlit though, it sounds like a broadcaster that will allow you to define a two audio capture sources (including those of the USB variety)

damn, its almost a month later and I have yet to receive mine. Has anyone gotten any indication of shipping/received theirs?

I got a tracking number about a week ago, but it says that they have yet to even be shipped out by UPS. This is ridiculous, my account was already charged and everything.

I got mine a few days ago. It shipped from Florida and I live in Fla so I got it fast. Mine came in the Logitech box but missing instruction manual. I charged them up and tested them. They don't get loud enough so I will hook them up thru my surround sound receiver for more volume control and hopefully some bass, these things have zero bass. With the mic muted they sound crisp. When I pull the mic down it introduces alot of static, not sure if this is normal or if these were never even refurbed. I've noticed the same static bs with my steel series cans when I use the provided audio mixer so perhaps this is normal with headphones ? I'm gonna look into it since its distracting and I bought these to use the chat feature

Bummer to hear tho, I was looking for some headphones with decent bass. These have had great reviews so that's really unfortunate. Will post a review when I get mine!

I haven't seen reviews praising these for their bass. I usually love Logitech products but these headphones seem very dated. These should be $50 new tops. I'm guessing turtle beach is the way to go with their optical inputs, surround sound, bass, etc.

On the plus side, at least everything appeared new even the box. The static when its not muted tho is a deal breaker for me. I read there's some settings on the Xbox that can mitigate the static.

Mine took 1.5 months, but the F540 headset looks brand new.

But other people got their headsets all beat up. So it is a hit or miss.
