It's still a great deal for the headset (if you can get over the fact that they are refurbs). The G930 uses USB and will eat into your CPU processes relying on the drivers to render the audio, but you'll get the simulated 7.1 surround sound, macro support for the three side buttons, and voice changing abilities.
This one, the F540, will rely on your sound card instead and will be more universal -- being able to connect to anything that has a headphone jack like an xbox, ps3, television set, etc.

Update: You'll have to use a wire for mic access for anything not PS3.

I searched slickdeals and could only find last nights post about Meritline's deal on these for 70 bucks with coupon code, supposedly new and not refurb'd. I opted for refurb'd at 1saleday because in my experience Meritline sells used/open box/refubished as new. I have also heard of Meritline products being international versions and US warranties not being honored by name brand companies. I actually found a post on slickdeals where a guy bought these at Meritline, new, and they came with a non US power plug and plug adapter, he speculated that they were international version of these headphones. I personally dont trust Meritline on any item over $5, and even then they have disappointed me.

I honestly dont know as I've never owned a pair. But, I have been looking at these for quite some time because I absolutely love Logitech products, customer service and warranty. They once covered the warranty on a used ipod clock radio I got off ebay. They sent me a new model of the radio, brand new, not refurb. If worst comes to worse, as dishonest as it is, you could always swap these out with a pair you get from a b&m store then return the refurbs. I am pretty sure Logi swaps out the ear pads when they refurb their headphones. My main fear is the rechargeable battery in these, if my refurb'd pair is 1.5 years old and that battery has already been charged a thousand times...I am hoping for the best though. 1saleaday has never screwed me.

That is my understanding. I ordered this same deal from Bens Outlet on 11/14 and I'm still waiting for it to arrive. I get no tracking number but it supposedly shipped.

Still don't know what I'm going to do with it since I am totally flush with computers, laptops, and tablets. But it just too cool to pass up for 40 bucks. Plus, my wife does actually have an Atrix 4g. So worse case scenario, it gets used for its intended purpose. But what fun is that?

Agree! Was about to order the roku but it's refurb! They have $20 at the roku website with FS so new is $80. Not bad since i've had this on my list for a while.

Thx for the response.. But i was looking for someone answer that they owned one pair already. I'm looking for a gaming headset.
