I got a shipping notice, too. They should've made it obvious that they were charging in a foreign currency though so that shoppers could use a card that didn't charge currency conversion fees if they had one. At least the fees don't add up to much on small orders.
I finally got my shipping notice just now. No tracking number or carrier information.
That charge (usually about 3%) is annoying. It means they are using a non-US payment processor. Even if its in USD some banks will charge you the fee, others don't.
I rcvd my shipping notice today as well.
And yeah, I wish they would have made it more clear about the fee. I knew they were a UK company, but assumed (wrongly) since everything was in US sizing and in USD, that there wouldn't be a charge. I should have just played it safe and used my card that doesn't charge the extra internat'l fee. Oh well. Even if I was slightly annoyed by that little extra charge, it was still a good deal anyway.
Two ship notices just came in, no hint of delivery date,
or any mention anywhere of shipper used.
Maybe slow boat from UK?.
4 canvas belts for $8.95, and two Tall shirts for $12.49.
Used AMEX, don't see the charge, pending or popsted.
No complaining from me if somebody adds 3%.
You might be right:
Provided the items you order from us are in stock, we aim to deliver them to the address you specify within 7-10 working days of dispatch from our warehouse in the UK.
Yikes. I'm so glad I didn't pay much for this.
Customs Duties and Fees
Please note that U.S. import law may impose duties and/or fees for certain shipments. These duties and fees are not included in the price of the order and, should they be levied, are the responsibility of our customers. However, if you incur such charges, please contact our customer services team who will be happy to arrange a refund.
I got my shipping confirmations today but I'm disappointed. I placed two orders. On both orders, the item I really wanted wasn't sent as it is now backordered on both orders (I made sure not to order backordered items when the code was placed; I know there were a lot of them.) The filler items I used to get both orders up to the $50 mark is what was mailed. I'm sort of upset because I wouldn't have paid shipping + the credit card foreign currency charge for either of these filler items. I hope the backordered items come back in stock and get shipped soon...I'm not going to be happy if they end up canceling those items.
I would be glad if you missed ordering. Pay $8.99 shipping and never getting a refund when your order is canceled isn't worth it after reading over 100 negative reviews on websites, of course after I ordered. I ordered 2 items, and they canceled 1 and in the email said "Cancellation Processing" I don't understand all this below. WTF?
"If your order has not reached our warehouse you will not be charged. If your order has already reached our warehouse, you may still receive and be charged for the items you ordered and you will need to return them using the normal returns process
If you have paid for your order via Paypal, please contact our customer services team toll free on
1-877-407-4675 so that they can process your refund. If you have paid by Credit Card, this is not necessary, as you will only ever be charged for items when they are dispatched."
The same thing happened to me. I paid via PayPal and my credit card was charged immediately. Simply Be cancelled my entire order with no explanation. I had to call to get a refund.
