Agreed. Possibly reduced cost even within original time window = Slick. Except it may not be easy getting the shipping refund. From the horror stories of Nov 13th orders, the people you can call on the phone are quite powerless. Going to start the process tomorrow (I imagine a lot of us will) so we'll see how that goes.

I thought they blanket refunded anyone that was delayed? I am sure once enough people start barking about being charged without actually shipping they will do some kind of refund for everyone or at least those who are vocal. I thought I remember reading some small print somewhere during the order process explicitly saying, google doesn't charge you until the order ships... Maybe someone can find it...

In the same boat as a lot of people here. UPS Choice sent me an email notification that my Nexus 4 would be delivered last Monday between 12:15 and 4pm. I get home and no delivery. Then I checked on UPS using the tracking number and it just says shipping label created. Someone jumped the gun here (either google or UPS). Luckily I'm not in a huge hurry to get this phone, but I payed for 2-day shipping. And when they charge my card and say it's shipped (and even give me a delivery date which was missed by 2 days and counting now), I expect it to happen. Has anyone been able to get the shipping refunded?

It's an automated system. Google printed the label early (probably to block cancellations). Not sure why so many people in the thread are freaking out, the orders aren't lost. It will probably end up working in our favor for free shipping since they didn't get delivered within 2 days of charging our cards.

I personally had no expectation of receiving my phone yesterday or today even though my phone was marked shipped friday, due to the lack of tracking updates. I also wasn't expecting the phone for 1-2 weeks like it clearly stated at the time of purchase. This is more like a bonus to me, rather than an issue like so many are making it out to be.

I got 2 shipping confirmations on friday for both my 16gb phones...they say UPS 2nd day air but when I check the number all it says is that the label was created...anyone else having this issue?

That's a shady thing to do. If you are going to charge me for 2 day shipping, it should arrive in the stated time. Period.

Oh, I am not freaking out, I know the orders aren't lost and no one has mentioned that. Google is either incompetent or shady when it comes to fulfilling orders. Period.

My credit card was authorized (not charged) for second time today (first time was when i placed the order on 27th). What is the meaning of this?
