As for people sitting on the fence, I'll give my impressions (I was lucky enough to actually get mine). The screen is great. It's not over-saturated, so if you like how ridiculously colorful the galaxy nexus is, this one won't be as intense, but personally I think it looks better. There were a lot of worries about battery life, but after playing with my for most of the day the last few days, I still almost always have battery left at the end of the day. Considering I'm using the phone like crazy because I just got it, that's pretty good. The curved edges of the screen sound gimmicky, but it's actually really nice for swiping left and right. Overall, the phone feels pretty good in my hand (although I have small hands, so it's occasionally hard to reach something, but I'll probably get used to that). It's slim and light, so the size isn't a problem for me at all. No micro-sd slot sounds like it could be an issue for some, but I go the 8gb and I doubt I'll ever have an issue. My music is all stored in the cloud on Google Music, and if I take a ridiculous amount of pictures/video I'll just upload them all somewhere and not worry about it. Either way, I doubt I'll have a serious need for more space. The SD slot would be nice, but unless you reallllllly think you'll need that extra space, it probably shouldn't be a deal-breaker. Good luck gettin' your N4's, guys

Seems like some sort of scam because of course your going to drop it once. Last edited by eggsalad; 11-27-2012 at 07:40 AM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

:sigh:, the answers to these questions are available and some people are just too lazy to read up and find them. The LTE chip in the phone is fully functional, however necessary hardware to accompany it is MISSING. There is no signal amplifier or filter installed. The only reason the modem was left in there is because the phone is based on the LG Optimum G, and it would've been cost prohibitive to produce the same exact chipset with the modem removed. But the chip was never designed to work. Yes, it can be enabled, and yes, it will work in areas with strong signals. But it will not work reliably, long term, ever, with any carrier.
If you're happy getting LTE in bits and spurts and the shitty battery life that goes with having that chip active, by all means, go nuts. Wanna see something cool? Press Alt+F4

Any of u that purchase on the first clusterfudge! round... What was the shipping , tax break down... And do they increase shipping if u order more then one... Trying to narrow the cost for a pair + bumpers..
Would the bumpers really make a difference ?? I was leaning on waiting for the Nexus 5 next year.. maybe Google would have learn by then that either a 32GB or a 8GB with SDCard slot are a must period... |

Also, how would they "learn" that lesson when the phone is selling so well without it? Last edited by Marekv; 11-27-2012 at 07:46 AM.. |
