Make sure you've heard these speakers before throwing this amount of money at them. Very often speakers that are very expensive may sound worse in your opinion than much cheaper speakers. I personally find most Klipsch speakers to sound bright and harsh, and they are very fatiguing to listen to for more than an hour or so... especially at higher volumes.
While I haven't heard these exact speakers, the fact that these have horn drivers makes me weary that they sound like every other horn driver Klipsch I've heard. I'm definitely not alone in my opinion here, either, FWIW. |

I haven't been able to get their surround speakers to sound good in my house though. The tweeters are always too much on them, so I have bookshelf speakers for surround instead. I'm not sure if you've heard the M-Audio monitors that pop up here all the time (I use some at work), but those make my Klipsch speakers sound like they have soft dome tweeters. I haven't been able to deal with how bright they are, which I compare to a recent set of Promedias I listened to. Not smooth sounding at all, but offer good detail for the $100-150 sale prices. Of course the room treatment again matters more than the speakers for mellowing them out. I think most people will like the speakers after they're hooked up, or get used to them. I haven't used them in a place with hard wood floors or a lot of large windows though, which I assume will make these overly harsh. Last edited by Masejoer; 11-27-2012 at 01:45 PM.. |

I am a newbie for speaker/receiver arena. haven't done much ground work yet, but I dont want to miss this, if this is really great deal!..
I have some seen few Bose speakers in all (all 5.1 though) which ranges from 1.7K to 2.6 K (differs on quality). How does Klipsch compares to Bose. Thanks in advance for your suggestions. |

In for one for my pet rat and turtle. They love watching movies together in their home theater.
Heck, at this price, might even get one for my Grandma. She's a bit hard of hearing, and falls asleep easily, but these should blast away the last bit of hearing she has and the sub will keep her awake. |
