What a scam operation. I received this message:
- Signed Rebate Form is missing- Original UPC Barcode Label (#846042000277) (Not the shipping label barcode) is missing- Copy of Receipt/Invoice or Packing List is missing- No proof of purchase- Barcode label is missing- Reseller is not eligible for this offer- No proof of purchase date in documentation I have copies of everything I sent. I sent every barcode on that damn box just to be safe. At $450, I would not have sprung for this set. My days of rebates are done! |

I got a response this morning saying the following. What a bunch of BS. Thanks for your email. |

I had the same "UPC missing" problem as everyone else with the rebate. I called the 4myrebate customer service number -- I explained the problem & mentioned that several people are having the exact same issue.
They said that TD has a rebate assurance program (linked by others in this thread), so I could always go through TD to resolve it, but since the model numbers matched & it only the UPC was wrong, they went ahead & approved the claim while I was on the phone with them. I didn't have to escalate or go through the TD rebate assurance stuff. I could see it marked as "approved" on the web immediately & got the "rebate processed" email a few minutes later. Total of about 5 minutes. |

My rebate was denied, for not having the right bar code and for sending the receipt (email confirmation) instead of the invoice. I called the 1-800-286-9146 # and spoke to a nice man for a couple minutes. He said if I just faxed the invoice to him it would get approved. I asked about the barcode and he said not to worry about it.
Faxed it in, a couple minutes later claim approved. Not bad customer service, just call in (I didn't get an email response for 2 weeks and counting). |

Anybody else annoyed by the constant crackling noises (even the TV is off) due to the casing expanding/contracting from temperature fluctuations? I'll be lying on the couch dozing off to sleep with the TV off and it randomly crackles loud enough to wake someone up. Aside from that, this is definitely not 240Hz as claimed but rather 60Hz, and the viewing angles suck. Definitely going to be selling mine and getting a Panny or LG.

I just got mine approved, so there is still hope. I waited till the last day to mail it out and to be honest. I gave up and didn't call it in. I took a risk of losing the entire rebate and just saw this email this morning. They originally told me that they received nothing from me.
1/10/2013 Claim Declined 2/19/2013 Documentation Received 2/26/2013 Claim was Approved |
