It happened to me too. I called Tiger Direct and they said to go to this link and fill out the form at the bottom of the page. Still waiting to hear what they decide to do. http://www.tigerdirect.com/sector....asp?Tab=5
The barcode on the box doesn't match the one on their rebate form. They better fix it.
Thanks for this link. I had this same problem, and noted the 300 and 300Z confusion. Hopefully this will be resolved. I'll update when I receive a response. The outcome of this will definitely influence my decision to purchase from TigerDirect in the future...

Just received the same email, got denied as well due to the wrong UPC number. Send emails to both parties, hope to get it resolved.

Maybe Tiger Direct talked to the 4myrebate people about the UPCs? My rebate tracking shows the claim approved now.

Updating based on my transaction with TigerDirect. I emailed them, notifying them of the two UPC codes, and my rebate status was updated as confirmed a couple days later. I'll be receiving my rebate in the mail. Thanks for pulling through, TigerDirect!

They updated and confirmed mine as well. Already got it in the mail and spent it at Wal-Mart.

I also received a rebate denial "Barcode label [846042000451] does not belong to an item eligible for offer TD-7795"

I sent an e-mail to TD and am hoping for a resolution.

My documentation (both sets) received over 10 days ago. Called 4myrebate to get an update on the status since web site is unchanged. They are still unaware of a second valid UPC and have to check with Tiger Direct to get approval for the 3300Z bar code. Might take another 3 to 5 business days.

My claim was denied with the following:

- Signed Rebate Form is missing- Original UPC Barcode Label (#846042000277) (Not the shipping label barcode) is missing- Copy of Receipt/Invoice or Packing List is missing- No proof of purchase- Barcode label is missing- Reseller is not eligible for this offer- No proof of purchase date in documentation

What? Did everything in my envelope just evaporate? Did TigerDirect suddenly not become a valid reseller? Worse yet, I see no way to contact them to contest this. :/ Has anyone had luck just calling TigerDirect to complain (if it wasnt just a mismatched UPC issue)?

I got the same thing this morning, I haven't figured out what to do yet. I took a picture of everything I mailed in. I don't know if that would help my case

I ended up finding this page: http://www.tigerdirect.com/sector....asp?Tab=5

Looks like TigerDirect will take up the claim with the company in your stead. I'd report it there -- I see much more luck working with TD than with this shady rebate company.

My rebate was delivered but was still processing (I sent it certified mail and previously emailed them about my status since it wasn't updated for 2 weeks after USPS delivered it). Well, I sent an email last night to 4myrebates:

"I have read other customers are having issues with this particular rebate (http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/84576/tigerdirect.com-48-tcl-240hz-led-hdtv-le48fhdf3300?page=33#comments).
I just wanted to verify that my rebate will not run into any issues with the UPC being different then the rebate states:

(•$100 - TCL LE48FHDF3300 48" Class LED HDTV (UPC: 846042000277) (PART: T001-4800 ) (Model: LE48FHDF3300Z)

Tiger Direct sent the correct model (LE48FHDF3300Z) but it had a different UPC than what is written in the rebate. Please contact Tiger Direct if there is any issues with my rebate."

This morning I got an status update from still processing to approved. woot

Based on many comments on this thread I feel LUCKY! I finally opened my box & the TV looked good, no scratches etc. then I set it up and it turned on fine.

The glass weighted base is sharp looking too btw. I unboxed my new PS3 and hooked it up & demo'd 2 games + blu-ray discs of Adventures of Tin Tin & the Avengers and everything looked GREAT! I wanted to compare a CGI movie & a live action movie with a lot of fast scenes & darkness so I thought Avengers was perfect. There were a couple moments that appeared grainy during the trailers for just a split second but the movie itself looked nice.

And I'm talking the preset out of the box setup here. I see some people like to spend hours tweeking the TV. I think it would be hard to judge for sure if things look better doing this unless you have 2 identical sets next to each other but I may try some of the suggestions just to see.

Due to my ent. center only holding 32 inch sets I have this beast sitting on our dining room table until I have time to move the entertainment center to our bedroom and set up the new one. Because of this I won't be able to see how things look connected to my satellite box.

I have to do the whole "circle of life" bit where the living room gets the new TV & ent. center, the bedroom gets the old living room set and our son gets the old bedroom set. While I'm waiting for the time to move all this stuff I had to find a place to check the TV since Tiger Direct only gives us 14 days I believe to report damages so if anyone is still storing this sealed in the box I advise you to hook it up somewhere just to make sure it works.

Bottom line is for $350 this is a bargain and is definitely "good enough" to be our main TV for at least another 3-5 years if not more.

I just mailed my rebate & scanned copies of all items & the envelope so I can prove I sent everything & to the right address. There should be two UPC codes on the box so for anyone who lost one hang onto the box for the backup or cut it out.

Noah

After having this for a few weeks I'm a little more "mixed" with how happy I am with picture quality although not all of the blame is with the TV.

For example, even in HD watching football on CBS HD is more grainy and every now and then is fuzzy or more pixelized for brief moments vs. football in HD on ESPN or Fox.

What's funny is when I was a kid, watching over the air footbal CBS was easily the WORST picture in my area for games!

There are some programs, channels or commercials that don't look quite as good as my old 32 inch but others look nice. A BIG BIG part of the problem in my opinion is the fact that the HD quality is 1080i and not 1080p.

My blu-ray movies & the PS3 games look great! My kids played Toy Story 3 for PS3 and the colors, image quality is incredible.

Also, how close you get to the TV is huge when it comes to quality. When I first set it up it was 3 feet away from the wall, now it's 8 inches away and from the couch it looks better. When I get close to the TV things look very pixelized.

Once I get the rebate though, $350 for this is still a GREAT deal and I'll be happy with this for at least 3 years but probably 5 or more.

Now I know why in the stores, like at Costco they show pixar movies all the time. The true 1080p blu-rays of Up, Toy Story etc. are going to look WAY better than normal TV.

Back to my TCL 48 incher, the picture looks fine on Natural mode and Vibrant is always the worse. Where do I find this "OVERSCAN" feature? I'm curious to turn this off and see how it looks. What is Overscan?

Bummer to see some people getting stifled with the rebate. I looked over all details carefully and scanned all my documents for records. Two weeks ago I got a confirmation my rebate was accepted and is being processed. Yesterday I got a better update!

We are pleased to inform you that your rebate, with the Basic service level you selected
has been processed and approved on 01/12/2013.

Your Amex® Reward Card will be mailed within 8-10 weeks . Please contact us if you have
any additional questions.

Below is the summary of your rebate registration information:

Tracking Number: 1519141018881
Rebate Offer: TCL Special Mail-in Rebate
Rebate Item : TCL LE48FHDF3300 48" Class LED HDTV
Rebate Item UPC number(s) : 846042000277
Rebate Award: $100.00
Service level Basic: $0.00
Final Award: $100.00

I definitely cut out the UPC code on the top, upper flap of the carton (where the thick staples are).

IF somebody lost both UPC codes and needs the other one lmk and I'll mail it to you. The box is in the garage but I'm pretty sure it's on there somewhere.

Strangely, this setting is only available on the remote. I believe it's the right or left arrow button -- it should say "Zoom+" or "Zoom-" in small text next to it.

"Overscan" in the context of HDTVs is basically just zooming in and cutting off the outer 10% of the screen to mimic old projection/tube TVs. In nearly all cases, you want this turned off. I have my TV set to the "Dot by Dot" setting or something like that since all content sent to my TV is 1080p. What that setting means is that each pixel of the source video is mapped to a specific pixel on the TV. No adjustment is done to the image. Play with the different options using different sources (HDMI, component, 1080p, 720p, 480i/p, etc) to get a feel for what each one does to the picture.
