What a scam operation. I received this message:

- Signed Rebate Form is missing- Original UPC Barcode Label (#846042000277) (Not the shipping label barcode) is missing- Copy of Receipt/Invoice or Packing List is missing- No proof of purchase- Barcode label is missing- Reseller is not eligible for this offer- No proof of purchase date in documentation

I have copies of everything I sent. I sent every barcode on that damn box just to be safe. At $450, I would not have sprung for this set. My days of rebates are done!

I'm probably due for one of these this morning. I felt silly paying a few bucks to track an envelope, but now not so much. I don't know if it'll make a difference, though...

I thought my first mailing was lost when it did not show up for 3 weeks. In fact the second mailing that I sent using priority mailed was confirmed by USPS before 4myrebate acknowledged the first mailing. I called when my claim was not approved after 10 days and explained to them why the UPC was not what they expected. Only took another 3 business days to approve my claim after they escalated it. Strange that they are handling these on an individual basis rather than allowing the second UPC for the Z model to be automatically accepted.

It's all a numbers game. For every one of us who complain and escalate, there are those who will do nothing and they will receive nothing. It's all in their business model I'm sure. F-em all...

I had the same "UPC missing" problem as everyone else with the rebate. I called the 4myrebate customer service number -- I explained the problem & mentioned that several people are having the exact same issue.

They said that TD has a rebate assurance program (linked by others in this thread), so I could always go through TD to resolve it, but since the model numbers matched & it only the UPC was wrong, they went ahead & approved the claim while I was on the phone with them.

I didn't have to escalate or go through the TD rebate assurance stuff. I could see it marked as "approved" on the web immediately & got the "rebate processed" email a few minutes later.

Total of about 5 minutes.

My rebate was denied, for not having the right bar code and for sending the receipt (email confirmation) instead of the invoice. I called the 1-800-286-9146 # and spoke to a nice man for a couple minutes. He said if I just faxed the invoice to him it would get approved. I asked about the barcode and he said not to worry about it.

Faxed it in, a couple minutes later claim approved. Not bad customer service, just call in (I didn't get an email response for 2 weeks and counting).

Anybody else annoyed by the constant crackling noises (even the TV is off) due to the casing expanding/contracting from temperature fluctuations? I'll be lying on the couch dozing off to sleep with the TV off and it randomly crackles loud enough to wake someone up. Aside from that, this is definitely not 240Hz as claimed but rather 60Hz, and the viewing angles suck. Definitely going to be selling mine and getting a Panny or LG.

My noise is very intermittent. Seems to be diminishing over time. Noticed 2 back to back noises last night. It is audible even with the tv and home theatre system volume at medium levels so I can see how it could wake someone up.

That's good to know, if the noises do go away with time, I will definitely consider keeping it since the price was so low (and the design is pretty slick).

hey there, so I guess us folks who waited to send the rebates in after everyone else were automatically declined. I also sent my materials certified mail and am damn sure that it was postmarked by the 30 days and they denied everything!

Just got off the phone and I have to resubmit copies of everything sigh... Sending it recertified twice is going to eat in the cost of the rebate ~$10. Please keep me updated as to what you do and if your claim is accepted or denied. I am willing to take them to small claims court or something if they keep giving me the run around. You arent alone, never dealing with 4myrebates again Mad

I just got mine approved, so there is still hope. I waited till the last day to mail it out and to be honest. I gave up and didn't call it in. I took a risk of losing the entire rebate and just saw this email this morning. They originally told me that they received nothing from me.

1/10/2013 Claim Declined
2/19/2013 Documentation Received
2/26/2013 Claim was Approved
