If the quality is anywhere near the 39 inch model I would be all over this if I needed another tv. I was really impressed with the 39 inch except for the metals screws on the bottom. Big Grin

God damn i don't even need a tv.
No joke. If I didn't just buy a Wii U, I'd be rearranging all the TVs in the house tonight. The best thing about upgrading a TV is that every room in the house ends up getting an upgrade by the time you're done moving things around Smilie

Only 2 HDMI ports... doh.

Also, is response time a useful spec anymore? My 3 year old cheapo LCD tv listed 4.5ms, and this one lists 12 ms??

Anyone have this TV? The few reviews I have seen are mediocre.....
only 2 hdmi ports and 12ms has me worried, also I am trying to find out what size speakers it has. If this was amazon, I would of bought it already since returns are free and no hassle.

He's talking about the extra $50 mail in rebate. After checking out it says you are eligible for $150 in rebates... crossing fingers..
Yeah, I was linked to this one as well:

http://static.highspeedbackbone.n...1-4800.pdf

... which is the invalid one. I just realized it dropped the price paid upfront to $450, so after the $100 rebate linked it'll be only $350. My bad. ZzZZz

TCL is garbage. I listened to everyone last Christmas saying how great they were and bought 2. I've been stuck with 2 lousy picture tvs for a year.

Friend has this exact TV I just asked him about it. After tweaking the settings he is very happy with it. I'm just worried I won't see the TV before Christmas with TD
Only concern I have is that the 240hz will be all "soap opera-y" and too smooth. Anyone think there's a setting to turn that off?

Two questions:

1. Is the 240hz defeatable?
2. Will it 1:1 pixel map over HDMI?

This tv will go into the Family living room, the tv it is replacing is going to my Mancave.

i want to make sure this tv even though $350 will be good/decent to replace a 1080P toshiba LCD tv that is 40 inches.

40 to 48 a big jump?
