SD e-mails are nearly unreadable (txt sted HTML)
I have an AOL e-mail account.Years ago AOL wasn't able to handle HTML and a number of companies sending e-mail to AOL accounts, automatically converted the e-mails to TXT. AOL fixed the HTML issue, long, long ago. But I keep getting your e-mails in impossible to read TXT formatting rather than easy to read HTML. Any else having this problem? Any way to fix it? |

If you mean things like Deal Alerts and other non-newsletter emails, we never send them out in HTML, so there's nothing you can do to change it.

Ahh, I thought it was just me! Here is one vote to send deal alert in html. It's very difficult to read in TXT

Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing? Dealalerts are in text format, so they should be pretty easy to read unless you're seeing something out of the ordinary. No matter how helpful the feature, how easy it is to disable, or how good your intentions, someone somewhere will hate it and think you're a monster for implementing it.- Anonymous Developer

I think the problem is that urls are not hidden making this a sore to look at

It appears to be coming through just fine, so I'm not sure what the issue is - that's how they're supposed to look
 We send out plain text emails at present because they are the most compatible between all clients - with text emails the URLs cannot be hidden. |

The problem is that its poorly formatted. When I scan the email the content is cluttered with formatting. So I cant scan. The other problem is that I mainly read my email on my iphone. So when the URL takes up half the screen it makes this format unusable.
Basic HTML emails should be pretty compatible across clients, all you have to do is use a anchor At least offer HTML as a option. |
