Isn't that the usual price at VIP store? I got 2 during this year and it wasn't during a sale, just went to VIP store and they were $139.99. Good deal for a really nice remote. One of mine came dead but Logitech replaced it, no issues.

i bought a refurbed one last time it was on sale (last month). sadly it arrived broken. i contacted logitech and they confirmed it did not work. The had me ship it back to them and because they did not have any refurbs left they said they would send me out a brand new one, which should arrive by next week.

I believe so. But quantity is limit for refurbished items, so sometimes it isn't there for you when you need it.

One more thing I recommend is, use your Amex card for shopping if you have one, not only for purchase protection, but (check American Express [americanexpress.com] for more information)

I've owned over a dozen Harmony remotes (800, 880, 890, 900, Harmony One and 650) and recommend them to everyone. That said, if you don't need RF don't bother with the 900. The Harmony One is a much much better remote. I moved from an 890 to a 900 when my 890 power button quit working. I was never impressed with the 900's RF signal and how slow the remote responded. A few months ago I got in on the Harmony one for $50 Best Buy deal and all I can say is WOW. I had thought that the One and 900 were the same except for the RF. I was wrong! the One responds much quicker to touchscreen input. I pared the One with some Xantec IR over RG6 devices and I'm much happier with my system.

Put it this way... if given the choice of the One or the 900 at the same price I'd take the One.
