Frys: LG 60PA6500 60" Class 1080p 600Hz Plasma TV $689 + tax YMMV

I would think this would have a better picture than the Sharp...just because Plasma offers better black levels and color accuracy

However...the plasma in this thread probably has no anti glare filter....so if you need to place it in a brightly lit room you might be better off with the Sharp

Also..I would careful with BB price match against Frys....I have not had much luck

how do you price match this tv to best buy i just went to nest buy in Burbank ca. it was a horrible experience previously i lto make sure it was there they said they had full stock. it was only 30 mins later i get down there. they say we only have open box and a demo i was so mad.

hmm...might stop by Fry's in Houston to see if it's available....I don't have a truck, so how much do you think Fry's would charge to deliver it?

Heres my rant about frys that just happened. So I go to see if there any left in tempe,az and I walk up to one of the dudes and ask about this tv. He says we have 4 but 2 are demos 1 is broken and 1 is payed for. He never bothered to look in the back or check the computer so I check the inventory checker online(I know its not accurate) but decide to buy it online for full price and instore pick up. I wait 10min for my emails and go to the register and tell them Im here to pick up so and so. He rings me up 689 $ plus tax and I say so you do have this tv and he says yeah so he tells me to park my truck in front and wait so I go. I wait about 25min like an idiot go inside and they tell me they don't have any instock so why the hell did you let me check out. He says they are checking the back and I wait 15min until nothing so I go check it out and they are all in a circle talking about ties or some shit. I explain to them if they can substitute another for it or raincheck this but no go. I have to go to customer service and wait 25min inline since there is only 1 employee and 3 saying fkn hello at the front....And then they tell me they cant refund my order without the physcal item which they never gave me so I started raising hell. Another 20min later an employee says dont worry I found you one in the back so it magically appeared...so in conclusion f@#$ frys electronics. First and only time I will shop there.

Picked this up at the Fry's in Milton, GA on Monday. After letting some break-in images run for the past couple of days and using the settings found here http://lg60pa6500.wordpress.com/2...00-series/ I can say the picture quality is fantastic. Unbelievable TV for the price. It's not quite as good PQ as my 42" Panasonic G25 that it replaced and the 65" Panasonic GT30 in my basement is notably better but this 60" LG Plasma for this price blows away any other 60" in PQ-to-price ratio. Out of the box, it was decent looking in cinema mode but after calibrating the blacks are very inky, dark, black and the color contrast and saturation is superb. There's a good bit of reflection on the screen since it has no anti-glare coating but we only watch in this room at night with the lights off so it's a perfect TV for my setup.

Very slick.
